Troop Leadership

Troop Leadership courses support troop leaders and advisors as they begin working with girls. Participants learn about age level characteristics, the girl/adult partnership, troop government, program planning, and challenging situations.

Adults should experience at least one or two troop meetings before taking Troop Leadership. The course must be completed within six months of starting a troop. Getting Started must be taken before beginning a troop leadership course.

Troop Leadership - no fee

One comprehensive course that covers all topics for leaders of Daisy, Brownie and Junior troops. Some work is done in small groups divided by program level.

Working With Teenage Girls - $5

Primarily for new leaders entering at the Cadette or Senior level. Also an excellent course for experienced leaders whose troop members are becoming Cadettes.
Girl Scouting builds girls of courage, confidence, and character who make the world a better place.
